Misuse of Engineering Titles

The wrongful use of the initials "P.E. and S.E." following the name of building and special inspection reports can bring sanctions for violation of the California Business and Professions Code.

Regarding such misuse a recent investigation of an individual by the California Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors resulted in an "Order of Abatement" and a fine against the person, an individual not licensed by the Board in California.
