The Society remembers the following members who passed away in recent months. Our thoughts are with their families, friends and colleagues.

B. Gawain Bonner, P.E., CSP-Fellow & Former Society President Passed Away Nov. 19, 2004
Longtime safety and health professional, B. Gawain Bonner, P.E., CSP, died Nov. 19, 2004. An ASSE member of 40 years, Bonner was an emeritus member of the Society's

East Tennessee Chapter. He began his career in safety and health in 1953 with the Insurance Co. of North America, then served as manager of safety and accident prevention for Gulf General Atomic Inc., in San Diego from 1959 to 1969. Bonner was director of safety and loss prevention for Tenneco Inc., Houston, until his retirement in the late l980s. During his retirement, Bonner served as a private consultant, providing expert testimony in many legal cases related to toxic substances and other safety and health matters.

Among his professional accomplishments, Bonner served as ASSE President from 1972 to 1973. In 1976, he was named a Fellow, the Society's highest honor. In addition, Bonner was named the first Edgar Monsanto Queeny Safety Professional of the Year in 1980
